Congratulations to Dawn, who answered last week’s trivia question, What profitable selling have you recently encountered? this way: "Having finished my weekly shopping at the Downtown Farmer's Market on Saturday, I left, feeling proud of myself for staying within my budget. Just as I was almost out of "danger's path" my eye was attracted to a display of photographs placed right near the entrance/exit of the market (and next to the ATM machine, BTW). With a few extra moments to spare (and confident I wouldn't spend anything since I had left my checkbook locked in the trunk of my car a block away),I wandered over to see what was there. I immediately became intrigued by some of the original and unique handmade artwork on display. As I inquired about the artist, I discovered she was there and was very willing to discuss her process with me. Long story short, I went back to my car, got my checkbook and spent $20 at her booth! Great placement, eye-catching display, friendly, engaging personality - all led to a sale! The booth was from Tangled Up In Hue - a store I have heard about but never frequented. I will be a regular customer now!"
